Mag is Saucy Slang founder, lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter.

Born in Cairo Egypt, Mag began singing into a broom stick (like a microphone) while dancing on the bed at age 4. His family moved to the US when he was six years old. At age 14, Mag fell in love with rock music and began playing guitar. He would sit in his room practicing and learning songs 16 hours a day.

During high school and university, Mag played in rock bands, studied voice, opera and classical guitar. His music theory professor was an ASCAP award winning classical composer.

Mag’s parents pushed him hard to get a “legitimate” degree, so he graduated with a mathematics degree. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his music career.

His classical training helped him compose music for movie trailers, video games and TV, including Twilight, Life As We Know It, We Bought A Zoo, Larry Crowne, Newsroom (HBO), Hulk, Saturday Night Live, and many others. He also wrote and recorded music with many musicians, including John Ondrasik (Five for Fighting), Jeff Scott Soto (Journey, Yngwie Malmsteen), Bobby Rock (Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Nelson, Lita Ford), Gary Hoey and others.

Mag has written, played and recorded many genres of music. Someday, he may release some of his songs in other genres. For now, Mag is writing and recording with the hard rocking sound of Saucy Slang
